We've got a whole new look!
Greetings!

We're thrilled to announce that just in time for our twenty-year anniversary, New York Spaces Inc. has a "brand" new look and feel. As we were approaching this major milestone in our company's history, we decided that we really wanted a company name that reflected the family atmosphere that we try to achieve everyday at the studios.

So we switched it from New York Spaces to the family name of Ripley-Grier, creating a new company name, Ripley-Grier Studios. So now, we had gone from naming only one of our facilities Ripley-Grier Studios, to renaming the entire company with the family name. It seemed a fitting, timely and appropriate endeavor for us to undertake.

You'll notice that Ripley-Grier Studios also has a new logo and slogan. Continuing with the Island Art-Deco theme, we hired a small team of designers to take our established palm tree motif and redesign it, creating a logo that was easily identifiable with the company.

For our slogan, we really wanted to capture the relaxed feeling and creative mood that our clients tell us they experience when they spend time at our studios. With that in mind, "A Creative Oasis" was born.

For quite some time now, we've been asking you and our staff to tell us how we could improve your experience on our website. Using your feedback and a laundry list of improvements, we assembled a talented team and got to work. We hope you find the updated website more contemporary and comprehensive, as well as more engaging. Our staff and designers have worked hard to make sure you have as much information as you need at your fingertips. On our redesigned website, you'll fine large, multiple pictures of each and every one of our studios, an easier interface to help you navigate through our different facilities, and newly added features to make your time spent on our website more productive and fun.

As we continue to expand and acquire more studio spaces and facilities, we continue to keep you, our talented clients, at the forefront of all our endeavors.

Some things just never do change.

Sincerely Yours,

Patricia Ripley and Butch Grier
(Owners - Ripley-Grier Studios)

GRAND OPENING OF RG10
Grand opening
On May 10, 2006, Patricia Ripley and Butch Grier (Owners) along with their staff, clients and friends, premiered their brand new facility RG10, on the tenth floor of 520 8th Avenue. The company saw it as a great opportunity to not only celebrate the debut of the space, but to also celebrate the performing arts and their talented clients.

The afternoon was hosted by our Mistress of Ceremonies, two-time Tony nominated director/choreographer, Lynne Taylor-Corbett who is a good friend and client of Butch and Patricia's. The day was devoted to a "Celebration of the Performing Arts", where the company invited a handful of clients to perform selections/routines from different genres, such as opera, dance, musical theatre, and cabaret to name but a few.

There were hors d'oeuvres, champagne and plenty of merriment as we introduced our new Theatre-In-Residence (Theatre Group Dzieci), who also performed two acts.

The afternoon came to a close with the premiere staged reading of the comedic play Boxes, written and performed by Sharon Talbot and Kelly Taylor, and directed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett.
