Greetings And Happy Summer!
We finally have warm weather. It is glorious out here in Long Beach. The beach is beautiful and the town is hopping! We just got back from a three week trip to Scandinavia and Scotland. We spent time in Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki , Copenhagen, Edinburgh and Glasgow. Whew! Logistically challenging. Hotels, planes, trains, trams, taxis, Ubers, but it was a smooth trip. We only had one glitch, I failed to book a hotel for our arrival city Oslo. Boo~! But we found one right away. Our next trip will only be four countries. England, Portugal, Spain and France. (We hope to see the Yankees play the Red Sox in London next summer and leave from there).
Regarding the Feng Shui of traveling: the most enlightening aspect of our trip was the common dreams, actions, and loves of the Scandinavian people; they are so sophisticated, and it was lovely being in the "Happiest Country in the World", Finland. A very good lesson in civility. These countries are very advanced in their recycling and renewable resource programs. Lots of bicycles. The Scandinavians are mostly into neutral colors, but are embracing the "new" Hippie vibe. Then Scotland (the birthplace of my mother), it felt like home.
For two weeks I did not work out, just a lot of walking. The last week I used gyms in the hotels and worked out (6 times) to work off some of that restaurant food. I had put on 5 lbs in 4 weeks. Phew! hard to get off. Back to teaching (last Wednesday, Friday, Saturday), and played golf on Thursday so I lost 1 lb. It will take me a month to get back in shape. Traveling is like that.
My advice this time of year is as always, get to the gym, get outside for physical activity, eat more salads, fruits, less hot comfort food. If you have not been meditating, begin now! Give yourself time to enjoy the month's to come.
With Gratitude, Patricia

Hello,
My parents and I just returned from our 3 week trip through Scandinavia and Scotland. We visited a total of 5 countries, starting in Norway and ending in Scotland.
First, we flew into Oslo, Norway on May 23 and stayed there until May 29. On May 29, we took a train from Oslo to Stockholm (Sweden), where we stayed until June 2, when we flew to Helsinki (Finland). Our stay in Finland was the shortest time we stayed in a country during our trip. We left Finland on June 5 and flew to Copenhagen, Denmark. We stayed in Denmark until June 10 and then flew to Edinburgh (Scotland). We stayed in Scotland until June 16, visiting both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Out of all of the places we visited on this trip, Denmark was my favorite.
When we returned from our trip, and I was able to see my favorite band, Imagine Dragons, perform again. This time the concert was at Madison Square Garden -- it was the band's first time performing there!
This week I began working for RGNY for the summer. I really like working with Graham on projects, helping in the Cafe and being an RG Ambassador.
Later, Jeannie
